This is a specialized workshop in conservation and restoration of historical and artistic works on paper, leather and parchment, such as books, documents, posters, fans, manuscripts, engravings… that have been made with any artistic technique: graphite, gouache , watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel, printmaking, ink…
The budget, without compromise, includes an organoleptic test and a diagnosis of the conservation status of the object and the basic recommendations regarding interventions to be taken and materials used.
Mainly we offered to institutions, archives, libraries, museums, galleries and private collectors the following services:

  • Conservation and restoration based on three basic principles: chemical and physical stability over time of the materials used, reversibility of these materials for future interventions and the readability of the intervention to differentiate it from the original.
  • Action plans for microorganisms attacks: diagnosis and treatment of infected documents, what to do and how to do in case of an outbreak of microorganisms, either specific or general, in a file or library.
  • Preventive conservation and storage: advice on the environmental conditions of humidity, temperature and light, to ensure the preservation of each file or library and how to save and store both individually and collectively.
  • Protection system: handmade binders, custom shirts and boxes and conservation materials.
  • Show systems: conservation frames depending on each object, their manipulation and the exposure time.
  • Conservation status of the objects certificates: full organoleptic reports for each object or collection and status certificates before and after the removal or exposure.
  • Expert’s report: in case of floods, fires or disasters.
  • Collection inventories: detailed individual reports for each object and its conservation status.
